Graham Strouts

Graham Graham teaches Permaculture, Sustainable Woodland Management and Green Building on the 2-year Practical Sustainability course at Kinsale Further Education College.

He has a background in landscaping, woodland management, and tree nurseries, and holds the Diploma in Applied Permaculture design.

He has many years experience teaching children an adults practical skills, permaculture and woodland crafts. He has taught the yurt-making course at CELT for the past 8 years, and also makes yurts to sell.

Since 2000 he has been developing a 4-acre plot in the beautiful Coomhola valley, about 8 miles north of Bantry. Here he has constructed a simple cordwood roundhouse, and is developing a nursery, fruit and nut tree plantations, forest gardens, ponds and woodlands.

Graham The 10-day permaculture course will spend 3 days at Derrydubh Mor, where they will have the opportunity to learn about native trees and woodlands, forest gardens, cordwood building and a taste of yurt-making.
